Elif Demircan
Executive Director
Elif Demircan is the Executive Director of the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT). Prior to joining ABFT, Elif worked at the Şişli Municipality Istanbul as the Foreign Affairs Coordinator and the European Union Center Director. She coordinated the Foreign Relations of the Municipality and strengthened networking capacity & built partnerships in EU countries while also established working relations with Turkish, international NGOs, universities, public bodies, trade unions, businesses, and business associations. She also worked at the ARI Movement as the Deputy Secretary General of International Relations. She served as the Project Coordinator of the Europa Handbook project as well as the Assistant Editor, Turkish Policy Quarterly (TPQ). Elif was born in Istanbul and earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences from Istanbul University and Master's degree in EU Politics & International Relations from Marmara University.

Ülgen Kıymık
Member Relations and Event Specialist
Ülgen Kıymık is the Member Relations and Event Specialist at the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT). Ulgen was born in Izmir and earned her Bachelor’s degree on International Relations and European Union from Izmir University of Economics and hold her Master’s degree on Management of European Affairs Department at University Lille1-France. Ulgen was an intern at the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the OECD in Paris where she was responsible for participating the Ministerial Council Meeting, Executive Council Special Session, OECD Forum 2021 (for the 50th Anniversary), Council meetings and the Delegation of Turkey’s National Coordination Meeting. Prior to joining ABFT, She was working at Ultra Organization as an Event Management Assistant.

Çağla Çavuşoğlu
Communications Specialist
Cagla Cavusoglu works as Communications Specialist at American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT). Cagla was born in Istanbul and earned her Bachelor’s degree on Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University. She completed her Master’s degree on Politics with concentrations on International Political Economy and IR at New York University (NYU) as a Fulbright scholar. Prior to joining AmCham Turkey/ABFT, she worked as Human Resources Specialist at Deloitte Turkey, worked as Project Coordinator for Cisco Systems at UNDP Turkey, and served as Teaching and Research Assistant at Koc University department of International Relations while pursuing her PhD studies.
